Gridbots powderSORT is a world-class powder inspection system and AI driven API powder inspection system engineered for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food powder manufacturers. Built as a fully integrated powder sorter, it inspects bulk powder for variations in colour, shape, size and impurities above 50 microns — automatically removing them before the material reaches packaging.
The system uses multiple high-speed line-scan cameras mounted in a precision-engineered inspection tunnel together with NVIDIA GPU-based controllers running deep-learning algorithms. The powder sorter identifies hair, insects, black particles, plastic flecks, magnetic contamination and shade variations in real time, and ejects them via high-velocity vacuum nozzles into a separate impurity bin.
Built from Food Grade SS316L with GMP and CFR21 compliance, an inbuilt magnetic sieve, vibratory hopper and automatic clean-in-place purging mechanism, the Gridbots API powder inspection system handles powders from 50 to 2000 microns at output capacity ranging from 100 kg/hour up to 5 tonnes per hour — delivering true Industry 4.0 powder quality control with no moving parts in the inspection chamber.
